While we are happy to come to you and write free estimates to everyone in and around Medina Ohio, we understand the value to be able to self-inspect before calling in the professionals. Our building materials partner, GAF has created the I.O.U. method, which stands for: Inside. Outside. Up the Ladder. Inside: Your self-inspection will start in your attic, preferably during the day. Bring along a flashlight. Here's what you should be looking for, according to the GAF website: Outside: Once you've inspected your attic for sunlight showing through the plywood, dark stains or streaks and sagging, head outdoors next and check out: Up the Ladder: Now that you've inspected your roof from inside and out, the next step is to get up on your roof and have a closer look. We discourage heading onto your roof if you're uncomfortable or unable to complete this task safely, so this part can be saved for one of our estimators who has years of experience. For additional safety information, visit OSHA at www.osha.gov or the National Roofing Contractors Association at www.nrca.net.
If you do find damage, feel free to give us a call to assess your roof and get it fixed as soon as possible.
